Even the best-designed buildings can be undermined by poor insulation. Biofoam is different because we specialize in only using foam. We don’t install inferior products such as fiberglass or cellulose. And our installers are different because they work for Biofoam, and are never sub-contracted out. A Biofoam installer works up to the exacting standards that we put our products through, with a level of integrity and commitment that our entire company works towards.
There Is No Better Insulation Than Foam. Period.
Biofoam installs a spray-in-place, polyurethane foam that adheres to any construction material, and can quickly fill any size or shaped space:
around steel beams, studs, and inside wall cavities
outside of elevator shafts and service tunnels
plumbing and ventilation ducts
electrical outlets and light fixtures
at baseboards and seams where walls meet windows and doors
Biofoam foam insulations are applied as a liquid that expands to fill and seal every space and gap, creating an airtight barrier that keeps out moisture, pollutants, noise and insects. We use both open-cell and closed-cell foams depending on the specifications and needs of the particular project.
Biofoam insulations install quickly and easily, causing minimal disruption to the job. Some insulation can take up to 30 days to dry before drywall can be placed, while Biofoam insulation dries within minutes of application.
Additionally, Biofoam can add up to four times the amount of sheer value to studded drywall (with closed-cell foam), and eliminate the need for eave venting—which prevents updrafts from blowing roofs off in extreme wind storms and even tornados.
All Foam Is Not Created Equally.
Biofoam-installed foam insulation is better because it:
exceeds government safety regulations
carries a Class 1 fire rating—the highest rating available
retards vapor: has a vapor permeance of less than 1 perm (5.7x10-11 kg/Pa-s-e) when applied at a minimum thickness of 1 inch (25.4 mm) and qualifies as a class II (closed cell) and class III (open cell) vapor retarder.
won’t settle, shrink, or sag—your structure stays airtight and energy efficient
is earth-friendly, because the formulation includes renewable agricultural content and reduces your carbon footprint.
The Biofoam Team: More Than Just Installers.
Anyone can install insulation; Biofoam’s team of architects, engineers, and installers design custom individual insulation solutions that optimize the overall structural performance of your building.
Our team will work directly with your team at all phases of development: spec planning, materials research, coordination with all contractors, and engineering and architectural collaboration.
We ask the right questions and dig deep for the right answers, before we recommend and install the right system of products, which results in the best value for you.
